So I knew that my bride & groom Catherine & Aaron would be part of The Press and Journal's

'Love in Lockdown' feature, but I didn't know it would be the main feature in their Valentines issue of Your Life supplement with reporter Ellie House, so that was a nice surprise!

(Admittedly the colours in the newspaper print are a little washed out, so I have included a wee array of other photos from their day)

Catherine & Aaron have an incredible lock-down wedding story and we had such a fun afternoon together, plus they were my first post-lockdown wedding and triggered lots of other micro weddings over the latter half of 2020.

Catherine also sent me the LOVELIEST review, talking about the unique situation they found themselves in and how I played a part in their special day. I am delighted to share it now.

"Alison is an incredibly gifted photographer, with the ability to capture the atmosphere of love and the most magical and precious moments together, of which we will savor forever.

My now husband and I were faced with a challenge just two months after we got engaged. He had to

move back to the Caribbean due to work commitments, however due to the pandemic there were

so many travel restrictions and regulations in place that I wouldn’t be able to travel with him as

his fiancee - I would only be allowed to travel as his wife.

We were faced with the option of being separated indefinitely or requesting a special license to marry.

Thankfully, we were granted dispensation to marry - with just six days notice! We immediately contacted Alison to check her availability as we’d been following her photography online and were mesmerised with her work.

Photos of our wedding were incredibly important to us as we were only allowed 12 guests in total, and due to time limitations and travel restrictions no one from Aaron’s family could attend as they all live in the Caribbean. It was heartbreaking not to have all the people we love with us on our special day. However Alison’s photography captured the day perfectly and gave us the ability to not only live it again, but share it with all our family and friends who couldn’t be with us.

No words are enough to say thank you for what Alison did. From making us feel at ease on the day for natural shots, to planning key photos with wow factor, she went above and beyond at every opportunity.

Thank you again Alison, for helping to turn our six day notice wedding into beautiful memories which we can share with everyone. It’s been almost six months since our wedding day and our hearts still swell with love each time we open our wedding album."

Thank you so much Catherine & Aaron! I hope you continue to love life together in the Carribean (your 'working form the beach' posts are driving Highlanders mad with jealousy!) and you have a long, joyful life together <3
