Alison's versatility and passion for her work results in consistent quality across press, architectural, editorial and wedding photography, while the variety of jobs keeps her style fresh and dynamic.

Alison was raised in Ross-shire and after time away for her studies in Glasgow, Dublin and Derby she returned to the Highlands and accepted a post with the Highland News Group, covering such titles as The Highland News, Inverness Courier, Highland Life magazine and The Executive.

After 4 years balancing the newspaper group with her own freelance commissions, it was an easy step for Alison to go fully freelance in 2016. Since then she's traveled the length of the UK, enjoying an eclectic mix of projects, and can now also be spotted running around after her 2 year old.

"I think over the years I've come to realise that I'm an introvert hiding behind an extrovert.

I need my time to think and recharge, but there's no doubt that people are my focus, and that they energise me. Starting a project is always exciting, but I am very proud of the relationships I have built up with repeat clients over the years. Some have had me photograph their wedding, then family, then business(es) and I hugely appreciate this trust in me and my photography."
