Two weeks ago, on 20th June, Jojo & Scott should have been getting ready to tie the knot, with butterflies in their stomachs and laughter overflowing in their excitement. Unfortunately, as with almost all of my 2020 couples, they wouldn’t have been able to have the wedding day they had wanted with all their friends & family, so their big day was postponed until next year.

They had however, organised to Zoom call their nearest and dearest for a vow ceremony to mark the day and look forward to the time when they could call each other husband and wife.

I’d been in touch earlier in the week to see how they were both feeling, wanting to do anything I could to cheer them up on a day which could have been tinged with melancholy. As they were planning to get dressed up anyway, it seemed the perfect chance for a few photos to help them celebrate what they love about one another, and of course explore the beautiful scenery around their country cottage. And what a GORGEOUS day we were blessed with in a summer that has seen blue skies, torrential rain and snow!

One of the many perks of living in the Highlands, is that my couples often surprise me with stunning settings that I’ve never visited, and the cliffs and beaches along the Seaboard villages really stepped up their game for this lovely couple’s photographs :-D

Thank you Scott & JoJo for a wonderful afternoon clambering through wildflowers and across rock pools – I absolutely cannot wait to be a part of your wedding day in 2021! 🥰

If you are planning an intimate wedding or elopement in these beautiful lands in 2020 then I would love to hear from you, and I still have limited availability for weddings in 2021.

Take care & stay safe, Alison x
