Located just outside Inverness and only a stone’s throw from Loch Ness, the Loch Ness Country House Hotel sits firmly as one of my favourite wedding venues in the Scottish Highlands.


I’ve been lucky enough to photograph multiple weddings here yearly and have got to know the venue and their lovely staff well. If you’re thinking of getting married in this beautiful area of the world, here’s just a few reasons why I think you’ll love this venue as much as I do.

The House


The Georgian house boasts eleven luxury bedrooms, as well as two cottages. The venue is very versatile as they can cater to anything from 2 guests up to 150. You also have the option of booking exclusive use of the property where you can enjoy the house all to yourself. The hotel’s interiors are elegant and modern but still in keeping with the classic Georgian architecture.

A lot of the time when I’m shooting couple photos, I take them outside but when you have interiors like this, I love to also grab some of my couples in different spots around the house.

For your ceremony, you can enjoy saying “I do” in a bright and spacious room in front of floor to ceiling windows and you can decorate it to fit your vibe. Here’s some inspo from just a few of my couples who have married here. As you then move through for canapes and drinks, the staff can convert it for your reception.

The Gardens


The house is set within 6 acres of stunning landscaped gardens which are great to escape to for couple’s photos and some quiet time together. They're so well kept and look especially beautiful in the Summer when the whole garden is in bloom and we can get gorgeous photos among the flowers and within the walled garden.

Surrounding Area


And of course, getting married at the Loch Ness Country House Hotel, means it is only a short drive to some of the most iconic views of the Highlands! So, we’ll go on a wee adventure, jump in my car and I’ll take you along to some of the most breathtaking spots on the banks of Loch Ness. You can take in the views, spend some quality time together and I’ll snap away in the background getting gorgeous, natural photos of you both.
