When a team of wickedly talented, amazing women want to collaborate – of course you say yes!

Back in July, a previous bride client of mine, now pal, Natasha of Bridal Hair by Natasha asked me and other Highland based, wedding suppliers about getting creative and joining forces to do a fun, styled shoot at Estate of Ord. We were spoiled for choice at this historic venue with a multitude of backdrops for our wonderful model Mallory to frolic about, whilst I enjoyed having the time and creative freedom to experiment with different shots and lighting. When you are shooting a real wedding, you have more time constraints, so it’s always nice doing fun, informal shoots like these to play around with different techniques.

We decided on three different styled looks with beautiful dresses loaned by Margaret from Charlotte Smith Bridal in Inverness and finished off with gorgeous accessories by Alexandra Bespoke. And of course, you can’t do a bridal look without a bouquet! The talented Kay from Flowers by Kay Haspell provided two stunning bunches – a fresh one with rich, purple hues and a dried bunch of pale pinks and beiges. The feminine dried bouquet in particular, perfectly complemented Mallory’s natural, radiant makeup look by Andrea Maxwell hair and makeup.

And onto the exciting news! Fast forward to November and we were delighted to have our shoot covered by Tie the Knot Scotland on their blog and socials this month! They recently interviewed Natasha about the shoot who perfectly explained our vision. Tap the button below to read all about it.

Aaaand to add to this, we’re thrilled that the shoot has also been featured on the front cover of the annual issue of Wed in the Highlands magazine. We’ve got a lovely six page spread as well as having images across the photographer’s directory and contents pages. The in print magazine features over 100 Highland wedding suppliers as well as lots of inspiration and planning tips. Definitely get your hands on one if you’re planning to get married in this beautiful area of the world!
